Hi,
Please bear with me as I am a newbie with data recovery , and definately with Testdisk.
I have a 4 drive (2 TB each) set up as RAID 5 , ext 4, in an external enclosure and connected via esata to my synology NAS. After a power failure, the NAS came back on ok, but it failed to recognise the RAID 4 external enclosure.
I know I should not format the drive as suggested by synology. I have since detached the ext enclosure and connected to my PC, and should use testdisk to see whats going on?
I do not even know where to start. I should think my data is somewhere there still in the drives?
Any help appreciated.
much thanks!
