WD Drive encrypted with DiskCryptor

Hello,

I have a WD 2TB USB drive encrypted with DiskCryptor which was improrperly ejected and hence damaged. The disk is read now as RAW instead of NTFS. The DiskCryptor header is not damaged so it can be mounted.

Do you think it is possible to recover and if so, what is the recommended process?

The partition is detected as EFI GPT. I have already run a Seach with took a week to complete and supposedely found two UNIX partitions (running on Windows) so I did not continue the partition recovery process. The run was executed long time ago so I cound not find the logs or screenshots.

Any help will be truly appreciated.
G.

As you can mount the drive there is a chance.

Testdisk and Photorec only work on unencrypted drives. You have to decrypt your drive first.

See:

As I have no practical experience with DiskCryptor yet and there is support for DiskCryptor it's worth using the associated forum:
