I've recently crashed an linux installation, no program, even testdisk can fix it, what ever I do there's error in writing the mbr and stuff..

I found out that I can access the files, and copy them.. but I cant find how to copy them to another harddisk..
there's no point to copy the files from one directory to another on the same partition, since it's crashed..

running linux on virtual box, and have attached the broken partition as sdb, so why can't I copy to sba?
