Is QPhotoRec finished doing its job?

Hello all!
So Widows 10 got wiped out of my computer while I was installing Linux.
I am, right now, running QPhotoRec to retrieve my Windows files like pictures and a few pdf documents etc.
I started the process about 14 hours ago,and for the past 6 hours, QPhotoRec keeps saying Reading sector 591347252 / 1953525168 ( The 591347252 changes to 591537256 and then to 592238298 and then goes back to 591347252 ).
Also the number of files found has not changed in the past 6 hours and stays at 1122060.
Is QPhotoRec done with its job and has nothing more to retrieve? Should I exit out of QPhotoRec? Is it telling me that there is nothing more to retrieve since it keeps going in a loop?
Thank you
JB

I didnt click on anything or select anything that said "Brute force mode". So, I guess I didnt enable it. I am using QPhotoRec. I dont even see an option to enable brute force mode in QPhotoRec.
Thank you

Sorry, I missed the obvious:
Try out v7.2 WIP!

I have a 99% similar situation, except I am using 7.2 and recovering just data from an external hard drive. It is "stuck" on 14252 files found since 3% of the scan.
Should I quit the scanning process? Normally, files are stored from the inside of the disk, right?

The file number found is no progress indicator. Look at the 3% indicator.
Normally, files are stored from the inside of the disk, right?
I think it is rather the opposite, but I am not sure.
The reason is the higher track velocity.

Thanks for the clarification.
The progress is currently at 12% with the same amount of recovered files. If I stop scanning by now and take note of the sector, can I resume from it later? The manual says the program will do so, just to certify
