Does PhotoRec work on Win 98?

Information I Googled showed that PhotoRec can be used on a Windows 98 system, but on the download page, it does not mention Win 98. Will it work?

The page states
Windows 9x !!!

x is a variable. Windows 9x is an abbreviation for Windows 95 and/or Windows 98.
