Add Recovery for HDClone images .mfi

I've asked Miray Software to add .mfi (and some other file types) to PhotoRecovery so their images can be recovered. How can this be achieved?

I don't know what software "PhotoRecovery" is referring to but this site supports a software called "PhotoRec" as part of the Testdisk suite containing "Testdisk" and "Photorec". The Testdisk manual contains a whole chapter dedicated to creating custom signatures for Photorec ranging from creating fingerprint files to extending the source code of Photorec with or without commercial support from Christophe Grenier.
