Dear All,
I need help - I have an adaptec raid controller with different arrays on it, all except one running fine. The problem is one faulty drive on one of the arrays, which happened suddenly - the drive is suddenly listed as "raw" in windows 10 and cannot be accessed.
Here we go:

Analyze gives me the following information:
Disk /dev/sdd - 27 TB / 25 TiB - CHS 3403871 255 63
Current partition structure: Partition Start End Size in sectors No FAT, NTFS, ext2, JFS, Reiser, cramfs or XFS marker

Partition 3 works just fine.
Partition 2 is the one with the problem - and has the eroror message "No FAT, NTFS...marker".
I have not enough free space left in the system to backup the appr. 8.5TB - so can someone help me how to proceed without doing additional damage... ???
How to tell the partition its NTFS ?
Please help

What is the exact configuration / type of array behind the label "drive sdd" (Adaptec array)?
Re: Newbie - Please help, my data partition is raw :-)

Please post the Testdisk log file. What does Testdisk says on the screen when searching for partitions?
Are you able to enter those using "list files"?

2 P MS Data 264192 17888805957 17888541766 [Basic data partition] Can't open filesystem. Filesystem seems damaged.
Doesn't sound good.... I added some disks to the controller to have enough diskspace for the testdisk image, problem is that I did a verify/fix on my adaptec raid controller and that hangs at 66% for 10h now.... and I know no way to abort this. Shutting down server didnt help and i cant find an option in the maxview storage manager. Even the commandline tool seems to have no option to abort the verify... when something hits the fan its either a small pretty bird or sh*t...

Re: Newbie - Please help, my data partition is raw :-)
Rebuilding the array after including a healthy disk would be my first priority anyway.

Yeah suddenly its progressing again ... 81 percent actually. I'm hoping the best and expecting the worst
