Recover partition but can't see in analyse

#1 Post by spenceee »

Hi team,

I have a disk, which has a partition on it, which is NTFS. The disk was formatted by an IBM hardware Raid, so it has some extra partitions and a recovery partition as well.

If I used the advanced utils, set the type of the file system to a dynamic disk partition (42) and then the file system to NTFS, I'm able to browse the disk. I have copied a number of files from this. However if I could restore this partition it would be nice to do a final double check easily. The problem I have is if I analyse the disk I can't get it to set the disk partition correctly. Is there a way to make the disk visible and mountable again in Windows?

What I see first, I can restore disk 2 and 3 as type 42 partitions, NTFS and get the files

But when I analyse to try and restore, I get this and I can't get back to those 2 partitions to let them get restored
