by mistake i delete a file in SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 15.3 in a XFS partition

#1 Post by psousa »

Hello

Yesterday night by mistake i delete a linux virtual machine in Xen.
The host is a SUSE Linux Enterprise Server SP3 5.3.18-59.24 13-Sep-2021, and the partition of /vm is in XFS format.
The virtual machine was in /vm/grpwise/ and the file was grpwise.qcow2 with 321G.

Yesterday night i use your software testdisk-7.2-WIP.linux26-x86_64, i use the photorec_static and choose only files of type .cow (i did not find .qcow2), and i notice he detect .cow files...

Today morning (~5:09am) he says he recovery 8 files, but by the sizes i see,(42GB/25G/3.1GB/12GB/55GB/982GB), i think none is from my vm grpwise.qcow2 321GB...

Can you give me help (urgent)?

Of course i will pay your work.

Thanks

qcow2 is not a supported format. You would need to create your own signature of this type of file as described in the Testdisk manual.
For paid support please contact Christophe Grenier.
