Hi I have a question and I would like to know if anyone could help.
I have a server that has disk issues.
Broken partition.
Partition is on Radi0 + LVM
I've tried to restore superblocks but I didn't have much success before this attempt to restore superblocks I was able to access the disk normally in read mode but now it always returns an error.
mount /dev/vg/root /mnt
mount: /mnt: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/mapper/vg-root, missing codepage or helper program, or other error.
mount -o ro,noload /dev/vg/root /mnt
mount: /mnt: mount(2) system call failed: Stale file handle.
NAME MAJ:MIN RM SIZE RO TYPE MOUNTPOINT
loop0 7:0 0 2.9G 1 loop
sda 8:0 0 2.7T 0 disk

│ ├─vg-root 253:0 0 5.4T 0 lvm
│ └─vg-swap 253:1 0 4G 0 lvm
└─sda3 8:3 0 1M 0 part
sdb 8:16 0 2.7T 0 disk

│ └─md1 9:1 0 5.5T 0 raid0
│ ├─vg-root 253:0 0 5.4T 0 lvm
│ └─vg-swap 253:1 0 4G 0 lvm
└─sdb3 8:19 0 1M 0 part
In the end I don't know what else to do to fix this superblock problem, but I solved something more advanced with a recovery tool like testdisk.
One thing I already knew that the files were on the disk because when I was able to mount in read mode I removed a good part of what I was able to download.
Although there was a large folder with 528GB of file, this is the x of the matter, due to having many files it always took time to enter the folder even when I was managing to mount the partition in read mode.
Already with tesdisk is impossible to access the folder, more than 15 hours and so far not accessed the folder where the files are.
I tried to make a copy of the entire folder without going into the folder testdisk created the directories but it didn't copy anything and it still seems to be running.
The question is, will he access this folder.
Or copying these files even if it takes a while, I just needed to know to avoid having to stand there for hours or days hoping to access it and nothing happens.
I did the test with folders smaller than 4GB it didn't take long to access and copied without problem.
I believe that this delay is due to having many files.
I await the return if anyone can help.
I tried to see a company that works with partition and data recovery, but I have not found if anyone knows something or can give tips will be welcome.

Re: Problem accessing directory with many files
Here are some big names that have been tested by my favorite computer journal in the past:
www.attingo.com
www.convar.com
www.cbltech.de
www.ontrack.de
I assume they work globally. I took the names from the article titled "Wenn nichts mehr geht - Datenrettung in Speziallabors" (If every broke down - data recovery in special labs)
You can purchase the article or journal here:
https://www.heise.de/select/ct/archiv/2009/20/seite-98
It is in German language but if you happen to get the PDF you might have it translated by deepl.com or others.
