Add Truecrypt File Extension

Dear Attentive Forum Members,
I am delighted with the functionality of Photorec and QPhotorec_win.
I notice the tc extension is not listed in the menu to recover.
Is there a way of recovering a non listed file with the Truecrypt extension .TC using Photorec?
such as filename.tc
I look forward to your response
Thank you in advance

If you use Testdisk trying to recover a file which serves as a Truecrypt file container, there is no difference between recovering this file or recovering anything else.
With Photorec the situation is different.
Truecrypt files do not have a fingerprint. Given you have a file labeled "secret.tc" you assume the content to be encrypted. Once metadata is not available anymore you don't have a chance to determine that some data represents a truecrypt container.

Yes I have been successful using Test disks on trial hard drives.
But it is not successful when the filesystem is corrupt.
However Photorec retrieves files without an issue.

I have no idea how this statement should relate to the fact that Truecrypt containers have no fingerprint.

I would just like the tc extension for truecrypt added to Photorec. Thats all.

"I would just like to add" is technically impossible.
Photorec needs fingerprints to identify a file.
No fingerprint, no file recovery!
Truecrypt files do not contain fingerprints.
If you look at 1000 different tc file containers you will notice there is nothing that they all have in common - a fingerprint that could be used to identify them all does not exist.
