Greetings!

I deleted (via cmd del /f/q) a valuable MKV file.
Can I use PhotoRec to TestDisk to recover it back from NTFS SSD?

Thank you.

I try to do search with MKV file type specified, but it does not find the deleted test MKV file.
Do I need to turn on the expert mode?

No. Your SSD might already have deleted the involved sectors where your file was stored if your operating system told the SSD that these sectors are free.
This effect is specific to SSD compared to HDDs. This is the resultat of a so-called "TRIM" command. Get yourself a SSD and a HDD. Partition and format using NTFS as file system. Copy your MKV file to both drives. Delete both files. Do not write other stuff to those drives. Run Photorec on both drives.

Thank you for this valuable information.
Is there a way to stop Windows 7 calling "TRIM" command to SSD?

I don't know. A simple search with a search engine should tell you.
