ext4 partition resizing problem: file recovery and/or partition fixing

Hi all,
I'm new in this forum, I write here to ask suggestion on how to proceed.
I've tried to resize ext4 partition where I had my Ubuntu 22 installation with Gparted from Ubuntu USB live. During resizing, I touched USB stick, contact were not good and problems started, interrupting partition resizing.
Now I have this situation: windows 10 ok, Ubuntu 22 partition ko (I see it in Gparted from Ubuntu USB Live, with problems, or in Windows) .
From windows, with DiskGenius tool, I see all files in ext4 partition. Files look to be ok. DiskGenius is not free to copy files bigger than 64KB, so I'm trying to understand if TestDisk and/or PhotoRec can do it.
I read docs and posts, but I still have questions:
- what's the best thing to do: first copy files to another disk (a folder on a NAS, in my case) and then try to recover partition with TestDisk or partition fixing should not damage files?
- Can TestDisk copy files only one-by-one, as it looks here viewtopic.php?p=36443#p36443 or it can copy all folder tree it finds in partition?

Run Testdisk, select your drive, select the partition table type and select

[Advanced] Filesystem Utils

select
  • . You can select multiples files and folders for a copy operation.
