Undelete files under Fedora home folder

Hi

In my Fedora 36 system, I deleted by accident my files and folders that are in my home directory. So I installed testdisk in my system. I started testdisk as root, the I selected the /dev/mapper/fedora_localhost---live-home disk. But, then the utility asked to select a partition table type. The option None was selected by default. In fact in this disk there is a ext4 partition. How can I solve this issue. It is the first time I use testdisk. Any comment or suggestion is welcome.

Thanks in advance

Installing Testdisk on your system where you deleted files and folders may have caused overwriting of your stuff.
The right way is to install Testdisk on a different system and putting your system disk with the deleted files and folders in a docking station or another external housing.
Running Testdisk on your "broken" system by booting a pendrive linux is an option as well.

I am not good in linux.
Isn't /dev/mapper/fedora_localhost a virtual drive?
You should have pointed Testdisk towards the real physical drive like /dev/sda.
Or is there any special setup that prevents this solution?
