Hello: Yesterday, I updated my MOTO G 5G, from Android 12 to Android 13. It seemed to be fine, until I looked in my Gallery for the hundreds of photos/videos that should be there - but they are not! It also changed some various settings.

I have 64GB internal storage, as well as a 256GB SanDisk SD card. Everything worked fine for almost 2 years, until yesterday.

I used PhotoRec and recovered a bunch of files from the SD card, but they are all album covers or something - no personal photos or videos that were previously there or that I wanted to recover.

I am 70, not an expert user, but can usually figure things out. Android update seems to have done this on its own!

SD card is currently in an SD card reader, plugged into a Window PC, via USB.

If the files you are looking are located on your SD card and Photorec finds nothing what you expect to be there I have no advice.
