I used PhotoRec to recovery files from a quick formatted internal SSD drive. I am still sorting through the recovered files but I can’t find some MP4 files. These files were created using CyberLink Power Director (photos of my travels with music). The MP4 files that have been recovered are all original videos, i.e. they are as-shot and have not been processed. The largest MP4 file recovered is 655MB.

Any help tracking down these MP4 files will be much appreciated.

If your disk was fragmented, the typically large MP4 files have a higher rate of recovery failures.

Ask Christophe Grenier (the author of TestDisk, located in France) if he still does MP4 recovery.
Joep van Steen from the Netherlands (www.disktuna.com) might be an address for MP4 recovery as well.

I have no experience with commercial data recovery services.

It looks like the large MP4 files should still be on the original disc and hopefully recoverable.

Just need to find our how. I will try the contacts that you have suggested.
