Help recovering a lost partition

#1 Post by kenshinsanosuke »

Hello everyone.
Here is my problem :
One day my external hard drive couldnt be accessed anymore. So i ran TestDisk and i hit "rebuilt BS"(didnt had the option "Backup BS".
No my external hard drive is a 320 GB one instead of a 450+ GB one.
I ran testdisk again and here is what it tells me

Te harddisk (320 GB / 298 Gib) seems too small! (( 464 GB / 432 Gib)
Check the harddisk size : HD jumpers settings, BIOS detection...

The following partition can't be recovered:
Partition Start End Size in sectors
>FAT32 LBA 303485 23 31 442712 31 17 285137139

I dont really know what i can do next. If someone could help me on this it would be truely apreciated.
( Sorry if i made some spelling mistakes or if my sentences arent good, English isnt my main language)
