PhotoRec returns small thumbnails for images
I am trying to get the pictures of my 32GB microSDHC from my phone. When I run PhotoRec, I get files back, but all the images that I actually took on the phone are thumbnails only. However, interestingly enough, the pictures that were downloaded from messages etc are all the proper size. What should I do?

Do you get better results if you disable txt and tx? in FileOpts ?
Re: PhotoRec returns small thumbnails for images
Having the same issues w/ the thumbnails. Tried to disable the other file formats and only look for .jpg's. Odd though, there doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason as to which ones are thumbnails and which ones are the size they should be.

Re: PhotoRec returns small thumbnails for images
If the recovered file name begins by "t*.jpg", it's a thumbfile extracted from a jpeg.
In some case, PhotoRec doesn't recover the corresponding fullsize jpg (f*.jpg), it's usually due to data fragmentation.

Would selecting all file extensions (not just jpegs) find the raw camera image corresponding to the thumbnail recovered? Is it possible to defragment the card and then rerun PhotoRec?
