HD went RAW

#1 Post by akinbacon »

So my 500gb WD external hd went raw because it was unsafely removed. Ran TestDisk. Did a deep search and got this:
TestDisk 6.14, Data Recovery Utility, July 2013
Christophe GRENIER <grenier@cgsecurity.org>
http://www.cgsecurity.org

Disk /dev/sdb - 500 GB / 465 GiB - CHS 7600 255 63

The harddisk (500 GB / 465 GiB) seems too small! (< 18 TB / 16 TiB)
Check the harddisk size: HD jumpers settings, BIOS detection...

The following partition can't be recovered:
Partition Start End Size in sectors
> FAT32 250218 163 39 283269 20 54 530955322

Any Idea how to proceed anyone?

Don't everyone answer at once.
