Hello
I have a question ...
Can I recover data from this situation ?
I tried to install xp on partition C and , unfortunattely, I chose partition D and installed windows by my stupid
mistake ( I was tired at that moment ).
The xp installer did quick format on D.
Now I want to recover a part of files at least from partition D.
I think it is not possible but I just ask to be sure.
Please tell me what program can I use for this operation.
Thank you very much.
Best regards,
Alin

Re: recover data after quick format and xp installation
You can run PhotoRec on the free space of the partition D:. If it doesn't work, enable the expert mode in Options, choose a blocksize of 512 bytes, use the default options otherwise.
