stupid question--how execute photorec_static

stupid question--how execute photorec_static
Have dl'd the Linux version, and burned it to a CD. So what command executes photorec_static so I can begin file recovery?

Start a Terminal, as root (use su - or sudo -s if necessary), use "cd directory_name" to go where photorec is and run
