Undelete files ....

#1 Post by untel »

Hello,

The more I look at testdisk the less I can see how to undelete files ONLY. After picking the right disk, testdisk tells me that it's a non partionned media. Why auto detect didn't work ? So I pick Intel / PC partition. After this choice, we have few options:

Analyse : analyse partition and search for lost partition so doesn't look good for file undelete
Advanced : Filesyst utils ... not good for USB key which is not bootable. In fact the undelete never appears and the working file partition is never shown.
remaining choices cannot be good to undelete files.

I looked at different threads in File undelete and I'm not the first one to note that undelete option is not available, but I could not find any answer to these questions/comments.

I include an analyze screen capture and the USB disk properties. I hope this helps.

J Guy

Thanks J Guy

If you choose a drive letter, the partition table type must be None, do not force it to Intel.
Next, go in the Advanced menu and select Undelete.
