iPhone 6 and DD

#1 Post by jbob »

I have been trying to create a disk dump of the disk0s1s2 partition, but have been unsuccessful. I'm trying to recover some photos that were lost due to the phone having to be restored (no backup available). When I attempt to SSH in and DD the partition, I get the "Resource Busy" error. As far as I know you can't umount within the iPhone, or at least that I have found. I have started messing with the fstab file to edit the options and what not, but can't seem to make any of that work either.

Does anyone know of a way to create a DD of a "busy" partition? Is there a way to connect via USB while the phone is in DFU mode? Or any other ideas? Any input is appreciated.
