[Solved] Write permission from Mac

Hey there,

I have a dual boot hackintosh (Mac / Windows) and I'm stuck. I was using TestDisk from Windows and saved new partition settings. I rebooted and now I can only access my Mac OS - Windows hangs when I try to load it.

I want to use TestDisk from Mac but I'm getting 'write error' because I can't unmount the drive I'm currently using. Is there any way I can overwrite the partition while I'm on Mac?

I hope that makes some sense! Here's the current readout on the analyze step:

Code: Select all

 1 P EFI System 40 409639 409600 [EFI System Partitio

 3 P Mac Boot 233836768 235106303 1269536 [Recovery HD]

I worked around this by creating a bootable USB using http://en.altlinux.org/Rescue

Looks like I can't easily revert my changes so I'd still love some help!

I think what happened is that I accidentally overwrote some of my Window's partition with a Mac recovery drive. Does anyone have any thoughts on how to best undo this?

Thanks!
