Partitions lost after trying a Windows 7 recovery

Greetings,
I own a ASUS laptop wit a 750Gb Hitachi SATA drive, split into 2 partitions.
Some days ago I had problems with Windows 7 OEM pre-installed and I decided to reinstall it using the ASUS recovery partition for Windows 7.
Unfortunately something went wrong and the recovery utility didn't succeed. It ended with a big ERROR screen and I had no way to get the procedure completed.
Unfortunately, this procedure runs diskpart.exe at the beginning, since it tries to restore the original Windows from the hidden partition.
I think this may have corrupted the MBR, since I'm not able to see any data from my drive, and also TestDisk doesn't see the whole disk (2 partitions).
Then I removed the drive from the laptop, put it into a USB case and finally I tried to get it recognized as an extenral USB drive from another laptop.
Here's the TestDisk output, where Drive C: is the main drive of the current laptop and /dev/sda the only partition I see now in the fail drive:

My question is: can somebody suggest me some steps to recover the partitions, or at least to recover the files?

Many thanks in advance,
Gischio

Can you try TestDisk 7.1-WIP ?
There should be 2 physical drives listed: one for the working computer and one for the disk connected via USB.
After Analyse and Quick Search, use 'p' to list your files. If you see them, copy them or restore the partition.
If the partition isn't found, try Deeper Search.

Thanks for your suggests.
However, TestDisk 7.1 WIP lists only the working computer drive.
The only way to see the external one is to check it with TestDisk 7.0.
