Newbie question. If answer already exists, please reference link(s).
I deleted all folders containing jpegs and Sony raw files on a SanDisk memory card accidentally, and would like to recover them. The card was formatted in FAT32, and I will be recovering it on my Win7 desktop.
For my purpose, should I use TestDisk, or PhotoRec?
For the recovered folders and files, how can I preserve their original names and/or time stamps?
What are the dos commands?
Thanks in advance.

Re: TestDisk or PhotoRec?
If you want to keep the original filenames, try TestDisk, Advanced, Undelete.
Note that PhotoRec restore the timestamps from jpg headers

Re: TestDisk or PhotoRec?
Thanks for the response.
Using TestDisk, and following your instructions, I was able to undelete the folders and files, with their original names. However, some of the undeleted jpeg files would display, but some would not. The error message was "Can't read file header". What does that mean, and how can it be fixed?
I had also undeleted the same card's folders and files using SanDisk RescuePro Deluxe. The original names of the folders and files were replaced by random numbers. But all the jpeg files can be displayed without error.
