Correct CHS setting for Deskstar 5K750

My sister's-in-law brother in-law used TestDisk to try to recover the data from a TravelStar 7k750. He changed the settings to CHS settings that are shown on the disk label CHS 16383/16/63 in the disk geometry section of TestDisk.

Bad news!

The size of the disk is now not being shown correctly. Does anyone know what the CHS settings should be?

Of course there are photos and other documents that he wants me to recover. In theory by changing the geometry back to what it should be, will allow the data to be recovered.

Using CHS 16383/16/63 limits the disk to 8GB.
To get the original values, quit testdisk and restart it.

Unfortunately he wrote the values to the drive using TestDisk.

That why I am appealing to to collective intelligence of the TestDisk users to see if anyone has the same Drive and give me the correct settings.

I think the number of cylinders is way too small, so any insights on calculating the correct number?

Most mainboard disk controller today are changing the head value of your disk to 255?
You can use the menu geometry to change the value back to standard and have another try.
The amount of Cylinder will be calculated automatically and there is nothing to do.
Don't change anything else.
As long as you don't use the menu Write, nothing will be changed.
Can you repeat your diagnose and copy and paste the content of your testdisk.log into your next post?

Thanks for that! My log file is attached. Now I will be able to recover the data :)
