Thanks buddy... thks a lot !! I am finally able to view my data. Just adding to it, I did a chksk in readmode after the data recovery and this is on the newly bought hdd last week just used for this recovery process. I do observe a very small bit of bad sector pointed out by chkdsk. Is it something to worry about since this hdd is brand new . :?:
