Sorry, But I am new to this whole thing.

I have a My Cloud with over 3TB of data on it, some how it became "corrupted" and everything was deleted. I unplugged it and contacted a data recovery company. They told me it would be about $2500 to recover the data (if it was possible).

The Files are important to me (for convenience) but not $2500 worth.

I have set up and enters the Cloud from SSH.

**I am running on a Mac book Air using Terminal**

I have downloaded testdisk-7.1-WIP.mac_intel.tar.bz2

I am not sure what to do from here, I have been looking online, but it appears everyone trying/doing this already knows how to do the next step, but I cannot see any explanation.

"My Cloud" are NAS running Linux, they may be using arm processor (check 'uname -a' output).
Contact a Linux User Group or asks students from a computer science school, they may be able to help you.
