ONLY list files instead of actual file recovery?

#1 Post by lobbycanada »

Is it possible to only view a list of all the files and sub-directories that have been identified on a drive? I'd like to be able to give someone a list of what can potentially be recovered without actually taking the time to perform the recovery.

Currently within the file browser (option P: to list files), one would need to go into each sub-directory to see a list of files. I'm wondering if a recursive list of everything is possible in one go. Maybe to export a text file, or csv, or print-to-testdisk-window (for later cut-and-paste).

Thank you.

The chapter "Scripted run" from https://www.cgsecurity.org/testdisk.pdf answers your question. You should be able to use "list, recursive" parameters.
