Hi,everyone,

I am facing one weird problem in my USB. I have a 64G Toshiba USB that is very important to me.

Every time when I try to access it I get this message "The request could not be performed because of an I/O devices error" I searched on google to find the solution and the most appearing solution was to run this command "chkdsk /f m:".....m being the name of the drive.

I tried this but I get the message "Cannot open volume for direct access"

Thanks in Advance.
Regards,
Peter

Create an image of your partition using ddrescue as described in https://www.cgsecurity.org/testdisk.pdf
Once it's done, use testdisk, advanced, boot, rebuildbs, list, choose write and confirm if you can be list your files.
If it doesn't work, use photorec.
