Irreparable card?

#1 Post by eapocs »

How can you tell for sure when your memory card (micro-SD 16GB) is gone and irreparable for sure?

I cannot format the sd card no matter what program, can't delete anything.
Used PhotoRec and restored some of the media stuff, but many photos and videos are missing/broken stil.
Other than that, tried to delete the partition table, no effect, tried to override MBR code, no effect.

There is some hidden data insides I cannot see and delete as well.
This card was previously used in a Windows Mobile phone.

It seems the memory card electronic is damaged, otherwise it would have been possible to reformat the card.
You should replace your micro-SD card. Usually almost all jpg are correctly recovered by PhotoRec.

Are the pictures unreadable or do some of them are a patchwork of several pictures ?
