2TB USB unwanted format...

Hello everyone,
I was doing a bootable USB disk for my mac and I accidentally formatted my backup drive (they had similar volume name...)

I know my files are still there...can you guide me using Testdisk?

I was using exFAT to share the drive with my other Windows notebook...

When I do a Quick search TestDisk shows only the "new" partition (HFS). Do I need to do a deeper search?

Thanks a lot,
hope you can help me handle this, all my photos and personal docs are there...I know, I did something stupid, it's a big big big mistake...my fault...

By the way I've started the deep search...let you know what i find...

Yes, try Deeper Search. If it find your exFAT partition (may be listed as NTFS), set this partition as P(rimary).
On next screen, choose Write, confirm, Quit and restart your computer.
If it doesn't work, use PhotoRec to recover your data. Be careful to store the recovered files on another disk than your 2 TB USB disk.
