accidentally overwrite my partitiontable

#1 Post by Against »

I try to keep it short:
4 TB Harddrive, partionied to 3 TB and 1 TB.
The 1TB partition running out of space, so i use windows to reduce space on the 3TB partition and added 100GB to the 1 TB partition. After this, i accidentally delete the 1TB partition in windows (not formatted, just delete Volume).
I used Testdisk to find the deleted partition and write it again. After restart, the 1TB partition is online again, but the 3TB partition is unallocated space now. The write completly overwrite the whole datasystem and just allocate the 1TB partition again. I thougt it will only rewrite the unallocated Space. Using Testdisk again, but cant find the 3TB partition anymore. There was really important data on this partition. Any Idea?

Thank you so much in advance.

Run TestDisk, Analyse, Quick Search, Stop (if it's displayed), Deeper Search.
Use 'p' to list the files from each partition. Use the arrow keys to switch the partitions to keep/recover to P(rimary).
On next screen, choose Write, confirm, Quit and restart your computer.
