Hi,
Looks like I had a bad usb port which triggered the whole mess.
I suspect the drive/filesystem was messed up by that.

FYI... using diskpart and a drive goes offline it chooses or uses the device before it....without warning you
I mistakenly *thank you diskpart" "cleaned" a 250gb external drive. A sd card driver letter after the got popped out.. diskpart was configured to clean that drive but picked up the ...
