Hello,
i managed to get all the files back but they had to be moved on another disk with the help of a recovery software...the disk is still impossible to open so i will format it and disconnect it, it is an old hard disk that needs to be connected with a power supply so it will not be wise to keep ...

Hello! and thanx again! when i used the -p key it says that there are no files :( see the Screenshot attached ;( are there any chances to save the data doing chkdsk? do you have any other suggestions using testdisk or other ways? no problem for any hint, i will take responsibility of it :) thanx in ...

desperate problem, i had a problem time ago but i did not reach to find a solution even in this forum.
So i gave the HD (a Western Digital 2tb) to a friend of mine and he recovered all files, don't know how..
but...NOW THEY ARE ALL SORTED BY TYPE!!! i have my music my dvd .vobs...all messed ...

here's what it shows at the end of the deeper search; the HD is NTFS and does not have multiple partitions so i dont' understand why it happens like this except that when i wrongly started
to format it maybe i did it with diskpart in FAT but only at 1%. Hope you can tell step by step what to ...

"Is the partition listed as NTFS in the partition table ? (See TestDisk, Advanced menu)" YES ;)
"Is the NTFS sector OK ? (TestDisk, Advanced, Boot)" YES ;)
"Can TestDisk list the files ? (TestDisk, Advanced, Boot, List)",unfortunately NO , but..
