Re: External USB HDD
I've run Deeper Search multiple times (but didn't record any logs from those searches) and it didn't find any other partition. It only finds the one FAT32 partition. Again, thanks for helping me out!

Re: External USB HDD
I just noticed that the partition found by Testdisk has a FAT32 file system. However, the original file system was NTFS. Is there anyway I can repair my disk?

Re: External USB HDD
Your music files are only copied to your disk.
That's why there is no directory.
But there are two folder/directories where your photos are supposed to be in?
They'are;
227300 drwxr-xr-x 0 0 0 10-Aug-2009 22:39 iTunes
228399 drwxr-xr-x 0 0 0 10-Aug-2009 22:41 Fonoteca Vieja

Re: External USB HDD
I just ran a Quick Search and a partition was found. I selected "p" (show files) and I got this log:

Re: External USB HDD
Yesterday I tried doing what Fiona suggested in this thread:
Partition found by TestDisk is only XXX GB.
Probably wrong, because it's too small.
But in your partition table is a partition whicht fits.
Could you have a boot sector diagnose?
Start TestDisk, confirm at create a log with enter and ...

External USB HDD
Hello, everyone.
I recently experienced the unfortunate failure of my external USB hard drive where I keep my daughter's photos and videos and I'm desperately trying to recover the files. I've tried using Testdisk to no avail. I've also Googled the log errors and some people have had success ...
