Here are the logs from two attempts (the second much deleted):

The deleted directory was named “/.tfj” (note the dot); I think when it does show, it’s something like “~FJ”, but (usually) no files ...

To elaborate, there is probably nothing wrong with my partitioning or filesystems, and testdisk apparently understands LVM2, but I'm baffled at how to proceed. I've tried "testdisk /dev/mmcblk0p14" and "testdisk /dev/mapper/store-media", but it can't find those (on a Windows machine). I can get ...

I deleted a large directory (Thousands of files totaling about 10GB) on my HP touchpad's "USB Drive" (/media/internal on a flash drive).
