I ran testdisk again, and selected Apple for disk format. This time it ran in a day, morning to afternoon, and the log seems much smaller.

No, and a search of the log for "10 GB" returned Not Found result.

I copied the log to a Textedit document, zipped it and attached it here.

Will that help at all? Do I need to run testdisk again, with some other settings enables/active?

Yes. This will take a little while. I am running a Deeper analysis atm. It is at ~57% after about 36 hours.

When it finishes, I shall follow up. It will be at least, I estimate, 24 hours from now before I am able to comply.
