Ran testdisk again. Log file exceeded 1M before I shut it down. I won't try to post it. I will look for a different utility. Thanks anyway.

/dev/sda is HDD0 in the host computer. It is the same model as the failed drive.
Console displayed a result for /dev/sdb that is not in the logfile. If helpful, I will re-assemble the setup and run testdisk again.

Noob here:
Have a failed WD 320G connected with a USB disk converter. Host PC OS is MSW7.
TestDisk reports host drive capacity as 320G, which is correct.
But, it reports the failed drive capacity as 11227T.
Opinions?
