Looks like you have to use your warranty to get a new disk...
If you need to recover some data, you will have to contact a data recovery company.

sadly i bought the external hard disk at 2012, been damage 3 times.
during 3 years warranty period, 9 months in the clinic ...

in "Disks" ubuntu 14.04 it has 2 partition, here is the screenshot:
