Recovering WinXP Bootcamp Partition.

Hi all,

Very informative forums here. I still feel like I would screw things up If I didn't make my own help post.

I am on a 2011 MacBookPro OSX 10.6.8 ... Trying to recover a ~20GB WinXP partition I deleted with bootcamp about a month ago (or atleast some of it !)

Here is what testdisk does:

Am I screwed?

update: I ran the deeper search function and tried to get a filelist for each instance that came up for that 20gb partition, but no luck there either =/

does anyone know if there is a way for me to manually add this partition back so that I can recover it or repair it?

I'm not as much an Apple tech savvy.
Some information how to run testdisk on Mac:
http://www.cgsecurity.org/wiki/OS_Notes ... 28Intel.29
Especially starting TestDisk or PhoteRec.
If you have an Intel Mac you should choose EFI GPT as your partition table type.
Partition map is not valid for an Intel Mac.
In disk selection you should select rdisk.
Can you repeat your diagnose?

Thanks for that link, I have looked it over before.

So, I choose rdisk, then EFI GPT, then Quick Search.
The results are:

I then Continue,

At this screen I don't know what to do with the Primary or Deleted characteristics, i just don't change them. If I press 'P' for list files, says 'Filesystem seems damaged'. Won't let me load backup either. So I just continue,

Deeper Search takes a while, but I get same results - can't List Files, and can't Write.
If I choose [Write] without Deeper Search I get an error regardless.

.............

That being said,

There is another post on here that is very similar to my situation (the last post claims a solution). But It's over my head and I don't know if it can actually be applied to what I am doing:
