Undelete output search/copy

This is probably a question about using the terminal in general, but googling "search in terminal" or "copy in terminal" got me nowhere because it only tells me how to use terminal to search and copy files, and that's not what I need.

In short, I need to undelete a few hundred photos from about 700GB deleted data, and manually scrolling through the output takes forever. There is a Find option in Terminal, but it only works within the visible screen. If I select all and copy to some text editor, it only copies the visible screen. So how do I find the one little folder that I need to undelete? :cry:

Sorry for the lame question, but I'm really at my wits' end >.<

Using Xubuntu 13.04, the hard drive is fully functional, I just deleted the wrong data.

What is the filesystem type ? FAT32, NTFS, exFAT ?
For NTFS, press the "f" key and enter a filter (ie .jpg), press "r" if you want to reset/cancel all the filters.
