Hi,
I am trying to recover photos on my iPhone 6S and feel like I have made great progress, being able to mount the iPhone on Ubuntu 17.04 and see the disk as /media/iPhone, however, it seems ifuse is not setting all the disk parameters and I am getting the following error :
> photorec /media/iPhone
> Unable to open file or device /media/iPhone : Inappropriate ioctl for device
Any suggestion ?

iphone doesn't provide direct/sector level read access.
Recovery from iCloud Backup is the usual method to recover data from an iphone.
