I've managed to clone my failing NTFS hard drive to another hard drive using ddrescue.
Then, I've analysed what files are corrupt due to bad sectors using ddrutility's ddru_ntfsfindbad on the cloned copy.
Next, I need to extract and repair these files from the cloned copy.
Content of ntfsfindbad.log:
Code: Select all
inode=21247 errors=0028 errorsize=126464 FILE name=./path/to/corrupt_file1.jpg inode=24402 errors=0031 errorsize=257536 FILE name=./path/to/corrupt_file2.jpg
If yes, how can I extract and repair these exact files?
Also, would it be helpful or damaging to run chkdsk on the cloned copy first / afterwards?
