OSX Ventura messed up external SSD

#1 Post by Lipaz »

Dear Members,

Could someone help me understand wht is going on here and whether I can fix my SSD somehow to get all data in original folder straucture (not just bunch of unidentifiable files with random names)?

Pre-story: For some reason OSX said it cannot mount external SSD volume (it was fomratted as APFS disk), then after repairing it with DisUtility it messed up something I guess, because I couldn't mount and retrieve data anymore.
I created a clone copy and try to get data from this copy. It seems that everything is there, but for some reason it does not show up as mounted volume, and DMDE software referst to a boot sector error only, what is more, it is able to list the original folder structure as well.

I run TestDisk on this clone SSD and got the following result. Is someone able to understand and check confidently, if it can be reinstated with some clever actoins that TestDisk offers (or maybe DMDE)?

Try using TestDisk to rewrite the partition table, but be careful not to make things worse. You can also try listing files on each partition to see if you can recover your data. DMDE might be able to help with that too.
