cant save my files to USB drive
i figured out how to locate my usb drive, it was in media/cdrom. i boot from a live ubuntu cd with photorec installed. i tried to save files to cdrom/recovery but got the error 'cannot create file in current directory'. i figured maybe it was permissions so i closed photorec, navigated to root and did cdmod ugo+rwx cdrom and it said something like unable to write to file system or something close to that. i am not sure if formatting my usb so it boots makes the filesystem so i cant write to it if its used live i'm not sure what the problem is. any help would be greatly appreciated as I am new at this. thank you!

Re: cant save my files to USB drive
Your USB device is probably mounted in /media (ie. /media/user/disk)
