Yes, it is a HDD, labelled as ASMT 2115. The manifacturer is HGST.

ASMT 2115 is most likely not the model. This seems to be rather an USB/SATA interface circuit.

yes, it is a SATA HGST Z5K500-500 (hopefully this is the model).

It used to be an internal HDD of an ASUS laptop.
