Hello,
my laptop was buggy, since a couple years ago i added a ssd disk and migrated my windows to it from old hard drive. Yesterday i want to do a clean install. In the process i saw that my old hard drive has 3 or 4 partitions, so i deleted the partitions that had windows and other files that are not important to me, so i could just have one d: with a bigger volume, but when i deleted the second to last partition (the last one is my d: with all the files that are important to me), suddenly the whole d: was unallocated space...Not 100% sure, because i think i also used the extend the main d: partition... I forgot which caused the problem..
Tried with testdisk first but at the end of the scan i got some message that the disk seams too small (should be 500gb but quoted 636-592gb and said that the following partition cant be recovered..
Then i tried with photorec and it recovered a lot of files, but the d: was 500gb and almost full, but i only got around 80gb, BUT THE PROBLEM IS that i just cant find the folder where these files are. I just dont understand how to get there. Could you please help me? My whole life was there. I had a cat that was hit by a car and died. I loved her so much. I feel like i lost her again... I had photos and videos of her and i really dont want to lose them..
Also other photos and videos of my gf and work related stuff and documents are there.. I had a backup on my ssd but since i was doing a clean install i just copied these backup folders to my d:, so basically i have these important files written on the d: 2 times so i really hope i can recover them...
I beg you really, i would donate to a charity or to you directly if you can help me out..
Please, i need help. Tried TestDisk and now PhotoRec

You can run Testdisk again and post the log file here. Run the analysis. Check each partition for content that you are looking for by using the "p"-key to see if there is content inside that you are looking for. If that fails use deep search. When finding your content you can use the copy functions of Testdisk to recover.
If that fails you should check the results of Photorec with some picture viewer for instance - which will take you some time naturally.
Otherwise you can try out commercial software.
