MFT repair on SSD when the file system is OK

#1 Post by mrsfnm »

Hello All,

I have some machines with SSDs that have an application that uses MFT tables to operate.

The machines boot fine and all data can be accessed.
===============================================

The issue is that the MFT tables are broken (both copies). Is there a way to fix this? I would like to do something like:

1. delete the MFT
2. Scan the file system and recreate the MFT

Running check disk doesn't repair this. The repair function of the utility would need at least one MFT table to be good.

I would welcome any suggestions if this can be done.
